The midsize Mercedes-Benz GLE crossover SUV is the exclusive luxury model that rises to meet every expectation you hold for your next vehicle. In 2026, the GLE is a mid-generation model, and it is identical to its 2025 counterpart. There are seven trim levels with six well-engineered powertrains.

Performance

The first two of the GLE’s seven trim levels for 2025 and 2026 are available with a 255-horsepower, turbo four-cylinder engine. The GLE 450 4MATIC® has a 375-horsepower, turbo six-cylinder engine and standard 4MATIC® all-wheel drive. The GLE 450e 4MATIC® pairs an electric motor with a turbo four-cylinder engine. This plug-in hybrid system puts out 381 horsepower and has a 49-mile range. The GLE 580 4MATIC® features an adaptive air suspension and a 510-horsepower, turbo V8 unit. If you choose the AMG® GLE 53 4MATIC®, your SUV will have a 429-horsepower, turbo six-cylinder unit. A 603-horsepower, turbo V8 system with an electronically limited-slip rear differential is included in the top AMG® GLE 63 S 4MATIC® trim level.

Appearance

The Mercedes-Benz GLE has a confident, elite design with a tall, arched roof and powerful contours sweeping across the sides. A pair of pronounced creases accent the hood. On the nose, the grille has a cropped, A-frame shape with a stardust mesh pattern. The grille is bisected by a segmented, horizontal crossbar that holds the large brand emblem. The headlights flare outward slightly and show off both segmented and solid LED light bars. Available exterior features are soft-close doors, a trailer hitch, up to 21-inch wheels, active headlights, and more.

The three-row GLE is loaded with premium features across all trim levels. Some of its features include a fragrance and air purification system, a surround-view camera, massaging front seats, heated seats, parking sensors, a 12.3-inch MBUX display screen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel, heated and cooled cupholders, a head-up display, automated parking assistance, leather upholstery, a premium sound system, forward collision mitigation, a driver attention alert, a blind-spot warning system and several additional features.
